Terms
Terms
Plain terms for working with recoach. Booking a session means you’ve read and accepted them; your coaching agreement, signed before the first session, carries the same terms.
The service
recoach provides one-to-one coaching, in person or on Zoom. Sessions are 50 minutes.
Scope of the work
recoach provides coaching. Coaching is not therapy, counselling or a crisis service, and it is not treatment for trauma, addiction or mental health difficulties. It works forwards — towards goals you choose — and includes practical skills such as emotional regulation: managing stress responses, keeping composure, recovering quickly, in service of your goals. It’s skills practice for the present and future, not treatment of the past.
If what you need is therapeutic support, I’ll say so honestly in our first conversation and help you find the right kind of help.
Standards
Coaching is provided in line with the EMCC Global Code of Ethics. Paul Sines is an EMCC Accredited Coach at Senior Practitioner level (EMCC Global Individual Accreditation, valid to March 2031).
Prices and payment
A coaching session is £65. A three-session block is £175, paid in advance, with no expiry — the sessions are yours until you’ve used them. The initial 15-minute conversation is free.
All sessions are paid in advance through Stripe at the time of booking. No session is held without payment.
Cancelling and rescheduling
Please give at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or move a session. With that notice, rescheduling is free — a session moved is not a session lost. Inside 24 hours, the session is charged, unless something genuinely unforeseen has happened — tell me, and we’ll talk about it. Not turning up is treated the same as a late cancellation.
Late arrival: the session ends at its scheduled time regardless of when it starts. If I haven’t heard from you 15 minutes in, it counts as a missed session.
If I have to cancel: the first time, we reschedule; if it happens again, the session is credited to you.
The three-session block
If you decide to stop before using all three sessions, I refund the unused sessions pro rata at the block rate — that is, £58.33 for each unused session.
Sponsored and organisational coaching
Where an organisation pays for your coaching, what happens in sessions stays between us by default — the sponsor is told you attended, and nothing more. If the arrangement includes any reporting — attendance and progress against agreed objectives, for example — the exact scope of what is shared is agreed in writing between all three of us before we begin, and you will always know precisely what your sponsor sees. Nothing beyond that agreed scope is ever shared.
Organisational and network engagements are quoted and contracted separately; my invoice terms are 30 days.
Confidentiality
What you bring to coaching is confidential, with the standard exceptions: where the law requires disclosure, or where I believe there is a serious risk of harm to you or to someone else.
The practical bits
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Questions about them: hello@recoach.uk. Privacy — what information I hold and why — is covered in the privacy notice.
